May Day

I wrote a series of letters about spring and I’m going to share ‘em here. I wanted to wait until May, but today it’s 54 degrees. In February.

For me, that’s as good as it gets for a herald of spring.

The themes of Beauty, Devotion, Cleanse and Rebirth were available to choose and if they wanted it to be scary. The series was fun because I wrote from different POVs that existed in the same space, but the reader might only know the story from one so far. I never had the opportunity to view all of these together, so I’m excited to see what you think.

Writing horror is interesting because there is no one thing that is universally scary. Sure, there can be things you are afraid of. But not everyone fears death. Or heights. Or losing their teeth. It’s more nuanced than that, which is why horror is such an abundant genre!

If you dare to share, what scares you the most and why?
